Crow’s Dairy for Edible Phoenix

I met Wendell Crow while covering a conference at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix. He and other local food makers were invited to show their wares during lunch for the conference attendees. Wendell is the owner of Crow’s Dairy, and he brough not only cheese, but a BABY GOAT to show off. I was smitten, with the baby goat and Wendell, who is a loveable, 6’4” bear of a man. His kindness drew me in, and I knew I wanted to tell his story. I asked if I could come document his farm, and about a year later I finally did, visiting the lambs during birthing season, watching how they make their stunning cheeses, and going with Wendell on delivery runs, where he was beloved by all. I pitched his story to Edible Phoenix, and the lovely editor, Shannan Perciballi agreed to run it. Big thanks to Wendell for trusting me with his story, and to Shannan for running it!
