Phoenix Magazine Review, ICHO IZAKAYA

For my first food review photo shoot for Phoenix Magazine I headed out to the east valley, all the way to Mesa. I had shot features for the magazine in years past, but this was my first foray into food for them. Icho Izakaya occupies a small store front in a nondescript strip mall, but the inside was cozy, and we decided to use the bar top to shoot on, as it was a lovely moody black. Props were pulled from around the restaurant, and Angelina Aragon, Managing Art Director for the magazine joined me to help art direct.
